Railcar Bin Vents

Railcar Bin Vents are designed to fit standard 20-inch railcar hatches.

Filter bag vent with weatherhood

This rail car bin vent vent has the added feature of a weather hood to protect the filter bag from the elements. To accommodate a weather hood of manageable size, the bag is smaller, providing 23 sq. ft. of filter area.

Filter bag vent without weatherhood

In applications where protection from the weather is not important, the filter bag vent can be used without a weather hood. The filter bag provides 33 sq. ft. of filter area. The base of the vent is cast aluminum with a bonded neoprene gasket to create a positive seal between the vent and railcar.

Cartridge vent with weatherhood

The cartridge vent is designed for use in rail unload systems. It allows air to draw into the railcar as material is conveyed out of the railcar. The unit has a cartridge filter element and a weather hood.
